A NOTE ABOUT ASL (Assembly of State Legislators): Of Utah’s 104 legislators, there were five legislators who attended the June 12-13, 2014 the bipartisan gathering of the (ASL): Wayne Neiderhauser, Gene Davis, Ken Ivory, Lowry Snow, and Marc Roberts. Additional Utah legislators attended the ASL in Salt Lake in 2015. These meetings are held to make up rules for the Article Constitutional Convention for proposing amendments. Did Utah’s State legislature vote to have these individuals represent the Utah legislature or were they just representing themselves?
Please don't let a handful of self appointed Legislators who attend the Assembly of State Legislatures (consisting one to two hundred legislators out of 7,383 legislators in the 50 States) pretend that they actually represent the 50 legislatures in this matter. Did Article V of the Constitution provide for an Assembly of State Legislators? No, no such authority is found in Article V.
How does your representative stand on calling a CC (Constitutional Convention) or Article V Convention?
On Feb 3. 2017, the Utah House passed HJR 3, Calling for a Convention to Amend the Constitution of the United States.
Did YOUR representative support or oppose this resolution?
